Grinding of the rails

Ready for grinding

This has to be grinded to 28 mm in height, and each side to  45°, a tough task

Testing with grinder adapters to make sure i get 45° from each side

Took me 10 days, and a lot of nerves to get desired precision, but I did it.

Table assembly

Wanted to assemble it at sunlight, but alignment of the concrete towards the sewer made things impossible.
So I had to move it all to workshop and reassemble. An easy task with 300 kg of iron.

Mom politely pretending to understand for what this chunk of metal is for :)

 Precision is everything.

Aluminim control box

Had some 2 square meter of aluminium around the workshop, so I decided to put it to good use.
Even very thin material can be pretty hard to bend, when you don't have appropriate bender.
So I had to improvize , but it worked like a charm.

Pretty correct bends. Wont you say :)

Dreaming is one thing, welding is something else

Now, 1st thing I had to learn was welding.
As I didnt have any clue about welding, I had to practice.

Practice makes it perfect!
I was impressed how easy something can be, when you have the patience to learn.

Well welding didnt seem that big of a deal, so I decided to make some construction welding.
Planning and preparing for welding took some time, but its always better to measure 4 times, and weld once.

 Resting proudly after construction welded.
